VILLA SOLEIL

Aruba, a tiny Dutch Caribbean island off the coast of Venezuela, has dry, sunny weather, white sand beaches and gentle surf. Constant trade winds keep things cool and cause the divi-divi trees to slope southwesterly. European influence shows both in its architecture, in which Dutch gables mingle with tropical pastels, and language, with English, Dutch and Spanish spoken alongside the local tongue, Papiamento. The restaurants represent many international cuisines, as chefs from all over the world have come to Aruba. The island has the second largest desalination plant in the world, making the tap water cool, refreshing, and safe to drink. Oh, and don't forget the sunsets - they are exquisite!
